Marc Lindfors

Marc Lindfors.

I'm a multidisciplinary UI/UX designer working in Brooklyn. I design for startups, small to medium-size businesses, and entrepreneurs. I have over 15 years of collective experience in the areas of mobile, web, and print designs. I use both a holistic and user-centered approach to each project to ensure that your product will not only look stunning, but the user experience will be delightful. From a lean and collaborative ideation process along with a thorough research-based competitive analysis, I got you covered. To get products done right, I use my most valuable skill - Empathy.

Trust the Process

  • Discover (Phase 1)

Before starting any project, crafting a detailed project brief is ideal. During the on-boarding process, we will go through a “Discovery Session” that will allow us to come up with a product strategy which we will turn into user-stories/journey flow. Form here, we will discuss product goals, target user-needs, references for competitive analysis and many more, right along with brand positioning etc.

  • Define (Phase 2)

We will craft a detailed user-stories doc, so we can start wireframing and testing out ideas. Understanding what the user-needs are is a crucial part of the process to fully identify the product goal(s) and going through the product experience. We will test ideas through design thinking, which will lead us to the right product conclusion. From here, we can start refining the wires, so we can move on to high-fidelity.

  • Design (Phase 3)

Once we’ve gone through the clickable wireframes, we will then move on to the high-fidelity design prototype and mockups. From here, we will carefully evaluate the product and start testing the high-fidelity prototype mock-ups to add/change any final iterations before the developer-handoff through Figma. From here, I will work with the developers to ensure the work is within specifications.

The Scoop

Background

My professional background experience originally started as a graphic designer developing commercial designs for a diverse group of clientele in a variety of industries – inclusive of tech start-ups, film, apparel, marketing, and advertising agencies. Over the years, I’ve migrated my skill-set and shifted my focus into the mobile and web space. As a multidisciplinary UI/UX Designer obsessed with precision and details, I provide a full range of creative services including concept development, creative development, art-direction, branding, and even editorial for print when needed. My colorful background have laid the foundation of how I approach design today in the Tech Space. I have been very blessed to have worked with many great companies both in a full-time capacity as well as freelance. I have learned quite a bit throughout my 15+ years of designing products across different mediums.

Over the years, my focus has been in native mobile applications (iOS & Android) and web (digital products). My background in branding and traditional graphic design has allowed me to create delightful user experiences and stunning user Interfaces. Throughout the years, I’ve gained the ability to see the bigger picture, the greater whole of any project by utilizing my visual design skills, doing brand strategy work, and by understanding the long-term positioning of the product or service. Understanding not just the product or service, but also the way the business is run and who the real customers are is a crucial part of my work.
